• I hate to study, but this format made it so easy. It's an easy read and the practice questions with the answers at the end of each section were very beneficial. The guide did not only provide the answers, but it included an explanation, which was a reminder for me. There are guides out there for $300+, but this guide has all the information needed to pass the exam. I would definitely recommend this book to others.
• This book is helpful, but definitely not worth $30+!! I got the book when it was listed for $4.95 and definitely wouldn't advise paying much more than $12-$15 for it at most. It's a pretty simplified and easy to follow format but not the only book you'll want to get to study for the aPHR. If you're going to spend $30 or more buy the aPHR All-in-One Exam Guide Bundle.

You can become aPHR certified with a high school diploma or GED, so it’s a validation of your HR knowledge and can be a real boost to someone who hasn’t gone to college. The guide gives important review chapters on HR operations, recruitment & selection, compensation & benefits, HR development & retention, employee relations, and health, safety & security. At the end of each chapter are practice questions along with the correct answers & rationale. All in all, a terrific value and well-written study guide.
